Dear Sir/Madam

I write with regards to your invitation to send proposals to raise awareness about the safeguarding of the countryside. I would like to explain a possible idea I developed for an awareness campaign to use in the media and high schools.

To begin with, it is important to mention that the strategy used would be to target the younger generation, as they are the ones who will be in charge of taking the wheel in the long run. For that reason, technology will be the main focus. The concept would be centred on displaying different interactive billboards around high schools and advertisements in local TV channels that will reflect the actions taking for and against the protection of the environment in each area. Furthermore, the billboards will have the shape of different regions and the percentage of battery left will also be shown. The purpose of this will be to show students and communities how Mother Nature is running out of time, and there is no charger that can be plugged into for its salvation.

The protection of the countryside goes hand in hand with the protection of our planet. What is more, the destruction of our local landscapes is the perfect example of what it is happening around the globe. The protection of the countryside is vital in order to avoid global warming and the extinction of endangered species. Once our local landscapes are destroyed, the youth will have no way of telling the difference between nature and manmade constructions. And this could lead to generations that lack from the necessary awareness due to their distance from the wilderness and their importance.

I trust you find my idea appealing for a future awareness campaign or consider some of the points made fitting for further development.

Best regards,

    1. Hello!

Well, it depends but I would highly recommend you to choose "best regards" as a farewell when in doubt. However, as it can be seen in the guidelines I uploaded in the "structure" page, for formal letters I would recommend to use the following expressions:

      - When addressing "Dear Sir/Madam" - Use: "Yours faithfully" /
      - When addressing a particular person: "Mrs. Smith" - Use "Yours sincerely"
      - When addressing a person with a particular job position: "Editor" - Use "Best regards"

      I hope this helps you!

      Greetings,

      Ana Valpa.
