Exercise: You currently work for the tourist office of a theme park and your manager has asked you to write a report of the park and why is popular with tourists. You should briefly discuss the facilities/attractions  currently available while also recommending some improvements that would improve the park and the visitors experience. You should also explain why those improvements would attract more visitors.

Introduction

The aim of this report is to provide a brief description of the facilities available at Port Aventura. In addition, it will also make some recommendations regarding future measures destined to improve the park and attract more tourism.

Current Facilities

Port Aventura's most famous facilities are the Chinese Theatre and the Russian Volcano. These two attractions allow visitors to entre a new culture and due to the wide range of food offered in their stands; tourists are transported to those exotic places with just one bite. 

New Cultural Market

After carrying out some research and thanks to the information recovered from the surveys given out during the previous months, my team recommends to build a cultural market. This would answer to many of the public's petitions, whilst also adding some interesting new features to the park. The growing enthusiasm for these kinds of markets has grown in recent years and the international tourism of the park would like to see some more local items during their visit. 

Old-fashioned Rollercoaster

Port Aventura has been the most famous theme park in Spain since it first opened. However, even though two decades ago the cutting edge technologies used to build the different attractions put it on the map, nowadays people are as excited about them. For this reason, it would be a good idea to build a more traditional rollercoaster taking advantage of the new trend that is bringing the old-fashioned back. Different audiences would be attracted to this new but old attraction, from the younger generations obsessed with the past, to the elder ones eager to go back in time. 

Conclusion

To conclude, I strongly believe that albeit the current situation of the park is favourable regarding its facilities, new additions such as a cultural market and an old-fashioned rollercoaster would boost tourism and create more buzz.
