The Good Place
Some may say that we have had enough comedy TV shows in the last decade to last us for a live time. But, that is because they have not watched "The Good Place" yet. Its original plot, dynamic dialogues, and incredible cast are just some of the reasons why this shows will be remember for taking us to a better place.
Michael Schur, creator of Parks and Recreation and some episodes of How I Met Your Mother, is the mind behind this show. Considered by many one of the greatest current writers of TV, it is not wonder why his last project turned out to be perfect. There is no place for mistakes in his scripts, every comedic opportunity is used to the fullest, but always using a realist approach that catches the audience attention in every scene.
Waking up facing a wall that assures you that "your are in the good place" is to say the least, unbelievable. But somehow, thanks to the incredible cast you believe every piece of it. How can the idea of death be so appealing to audiences? The idea of the afterlife has been exploited many times before, there is nothing original about it, but nobody before was able to add its philosophical implications in a comic and natural like this before.
All in all, what makes "The Good Place" such a popular show is no mystery, its quality speaks for itself. There is no need to advertise it as the word of mouth is enough to attract new fans. The geniality created by Schur is incredibly supported by the different actors and the only bad thing about it is that the last season is on.
